new 10/22 charger takedown

I picked up one of the new standard Chargers. The standard is freefloated but the takedown isn't. I don't know if that matters once I SBR and change the stock? After handling the standard I think it's plenty short enough for me. I'm still debating on trading for a standard 10/22 or SBR the little fellow.

Looks like a good candidate for a sbr from what I can see in this article, if you could fit the standard takedown stock on it. the tapered cut on the back would require a bit of work to get a standard stock on, but maybe an underfolder would be easier to do.

Im planning to sbr this one.

Anyone Interested in a Original Charger with the grey laminate with bi-pod, Original Box, ruger soft case, upgraded parts including charging handle, springs, bolt hold open, featuring a fluted 12" Tactical solutions barrel threaded 1/2x28 with original thread protector and a matching compensator protector?
I WOULD BE INTERESTED.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the two are not compatible for just that reason. Don't want to make it too easy to make an SBR.

bringing this back up...i spoke to a couple of guys from Ruger today at an event, and they verified that they are interchangeable. they weren't sure about the barrels just swapping over, but were positive that the action was the same as a normal 10/22 so the assembly could be swapped over into any of the 10/22 compatible stocks.
