Need a better scope! These were shot with a cheap Simmons 4x Shotgun scope with the diamond reticle. I wouldn't be afraid to hunt right now but I will be upgrading to a 2 x 7 Redfield or Vortex. Stay tuned.
Forgot to mention that these groups were shot with The Leverlution ammo. Gonna try out the Barnes and a few others. Really like the big hole the 44mag pokes in the target.

I shoot the Model 11 Savage and like it better than a 2,500.00 308 we custom built. Paid 360 for the Savage NIB put a 3 x 9 x 40 Nikon on, if I do my part dead on at 250 yards. This is all you need for deer hunting in my humble opinion.
Recently acquired unicorn Remington 700 in .257 Roberts.

I'm pretty Excited as we scored a new private property to hunt that borders the national forest in Suches and the deer/ bear sign is incredible to say the least.

If I hunt this year, it will probably be with my brother, and while I'll be using the same rifle(s) I've used for years, my brother would be using something new for him: A sporterized 18.5" barreled 1903-A3 Springfield. A good old .30-06 from WWII, with peep sights.
Redfield 2-7 installed. Going to try out the Barnes and Fusion load. Anyone ever shoot the GA Arms hunting load?
