I have an 04 Jeep Wrangler that is close to needing new tires. I don't go off road much anymore and I have a question or two about new tires. I have 15"x8" wheels with 265/75/15 tires on it now but I want to go a down a size or two mainly for cost. could I go down to a 235 or 245 with these rims? would it look ok, or would these tire sizes balloon out on the sidewalls and not be a good way to go? also, has anybody ever bought tires online? recommendations? thanks for any input.

I think the size would fit ok.
there are several online size calculators where you can put in the alphabet soup tire size and it will tell you the height and width in inches so you can understand what it might look like.
probably gonna look goofy if you put small tires on it.
Ive not seen any savings getting tires online, since the shipping mounting and balancing are not incuded.

i have always gotten good price and service from disvount tire. you can see their prices and any rebate offers online
