My first thought was the probably had spares laying around! I suppose I could call the number and find out what I bought, maybe upgrade.........

I had a scammer in France today via FB marketplace messenger; asking if my item was "still available?" (message also had an accept or decline button, which I ignored), I said yes, still available, then answered her "where are you located?" with "Atlanta, Georgia, USA, looks you are in France?". All her postings were in French, all her friends had French names, and her listings all had the euro dollar symbol. She said "Am in Atlanta too". I'm not available in town right now but I could tell my son to help me pick it up while I will be making the payment upfront to secure the item you got Zelle?".

I told her if it's face to face, then I'd prefer cash, as that's easier. Scam alert from the Zelle option, and scam alert from the "someone else will pick it up" statement. Scam alert from the offer to pay upfront to secure the item. Haven't heard a peep since I said "cash". ---- Several weeks ago, I had a scammer on FB marketplace ask "is it still available?" and asked to talk with me and I gave them my cell number, then they wanted to "verify" me by texting a code. Well there's a scam. They kept pressuring me to click the code (which would have enabled them to open a google phone account with my phone number). I messaged back that the best number to do that would be (404) 679-9000, so please call me right away! That number just happens to be the Atlanta office of the FBI.
