No more short term canned prep food for me.

We've been slowly rotating our stuff out so as to check and see how long it survives. I have not had any issues with anything yet, but we are transitioning to dry stuff too. Good for posting this. Its a good reminder for all of us to check our stuff.

The other day I asked my wife what we're having tonight and she excitedly said "Sloppy Joe Blob" - she could tell I was disappointed and asked "Isn't that what you said you wanted tonight?" Um, close, but no.

I always wondered what happens to all the emergency food that people have after a decade or more. Now I realize it's like Russian roulette with food. I guess there are better options on what you store, but DJD!!

Don't forget that expired stuff makes good hog bait. The recycling question got me thinking.
