What would you suggest to a young person now to invest in to get social security in the future? I know there are different funds, but I don’t know what’s the difference and which one to choose. Is Roth 401 better than 401k?

Roth anything is always better...............The longer time you have to retirement is your next attribute

Start a Roth IRA and contribute to it every month. Look for a mutual fund that is a no load, low expenses. Maybe a Fidelity Freedom fund tied to the year you want to retire in.
