I do not consider myself naive. Yes, after taxes that 5% interest rate is not very impressive. Inflation is effecting everything, feeling that from every direction right now. As everyone else is.

Index funds have done well for me. Crypto has been hit or miss.

If you have the room, gold and silver bullion is always a safe bet.

I have HYS, CDs, 401k, Roth IRA, Blue Chip, dabbled a little in silver. Where are you putting your extra dollars?

If you have "extra" and are basically fully invested, then I'd have to say physical gold and silver...and don't "dabble" it's unattractive....go all in.....what ever you have.....make that at least 10% in physical....if you gotta run...you gotta run....remember trying to get into a bank during COVID???
