Oklahoma State high court upholds voter ID law

Ok, I guess I can see the argument. Can you get a free government ID in OK? I'm guessing any ID card is going to cost something, right?

So if you need that ID card to vote - and you had to PAY for that ID card - then yeah, I guess I can see it's a poll tax of sorts.

But the practical application is that most folks have a drivers license and the cost isn't prohibitive per se, right?

And look at the fraud potential of not requiring an ID at the poling place.

So the poll tax argument was kinda like the NPR discussion I heard today on dress codes in public schools. Someone said bras are uncomfortable and expensive and that's why a dress code requiring females to wear bras was discriminatory...:wacko:
