Have had them both... SR had less issues. However, got a P22 listed that will meet your needs.

You have the 10/22 ... I don't think you can get a better semi auto platform... Maybe a bolt action ...
The best thing I did to my 10/22 was put in a Volquartson drop in trigger... Expensive addition but real smooth and light.
Thinking bout ar style 22lr..
Stock change on the 10/22...
