Going to be plumbing my garage apartment with pex .
Probably buying a cordless expansion tool and using pex A

Who has done it and what advice ya got ?

I’ve done plenty of pvc and some copper and some galvanized and some pex with shark bites in the past for repairs and small jobs .

But not new construction .

Easy to work with

Crimping tool will be much cheaper than an expansion tool. No noticeable flow difference between pex A and B.

Redid my entire house in pex. It’s an absolute no brainer because of its cost, flexibility, freeze break resistance and availability. My suggestion is don’t cheap on fittings and bands.

PEx Crimp is smaller in diameter.
I do PEX Expansion
Pex A is way better on hard to reach area. Some work i done, you wont be able to use Crimp.
For one of job, Expansion is too much. Up front cost for the tool isnt cheap.

there's some fact bending bs in that article.
cpvc and copper had lawsuits. that article is trash.

Plumbing since '85, master plumber since mid 90's, would I use copper or pex if I built my house....... Cpvc is a HELL NO!

I would probably use pex but not under a slab.
