I'm certain that the "trails" of powder we see lit in movies is smokeless or a blend. BP just flashes/burns rapidly when not contained in a vessel.

If the inside seal is still on it take a smell and see if it smells like ammonia leave it be, if not proiceed using it.

I wouldn't worry about modern components. Cabela's hasn't been around that long in Acworth. If you're concerned, load a couple rounds and try it. Main thing is to keep it sealed up

I have powders from the 60’s that my dad gave me….perfectly fine. Stored properly those powders will outlast us from what I have been told.

All I've started to do is put a bag of silica gel in any of the bottles I've opened, and keep the powder and primers in the house where the temperature and humidity are under control. That and keep 'em in the dark.
