He was an incredible guitar player.don't think a lot of people realize just how badass of a guitar player he was, his live solos were incredible. I think all the haters are made he got more tail than they ever will
They said the little fella had the flu for the last two weeks. I guess weighing 80lbs then having diarrhea for two weeks can take it's toll on you.

Dang.....always liked him. Purple Rain is probably one of the best ballad songs ever. I'd put it up there with "Faithfully" by Journey.
The guy was a true musical talent. Self taught on all the instruments he played. He was weird no doubt but he was doing what he was meant to do. Having said that he probably had AIDS. 
my ex made me go with her in 1983 to see him in concert. I went under duress. but once the show started I was blown away and became a fan of that little, spinning, guitar twirling, splits dancing, constantly moving squeaky voiced Mo Fo. he put on one hell of a show and we ended up going to 3 more of his concerts. RIP man, you were one hell of a guitar player and entertainer. GOD SPEED.....
