"Q" firearms. Quality or marketing hype?

That's the inside of a Q suppressor? Good lord...:faint:
Apparently it’s the inside of a 5.56 Trash Panda. Kevin and this guy were having online beef so the guy that owns that page literally bought a TP to destroy just to prove a point I guess. That is the only photo/ angle I’ve seen so far so I can’t confirm nor deny that it’s actually a TP

Again, SBR.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Can be accomplished with aftermarket stock

Easliy accomplished by aftermarket parts

OK, I didn't know that. The mini fix has quick change barrels?

It's not about doing it "cheaper." You just said nothing else can do what it does. I disagree, but you may have me on the quick change barrels, if it does that.

Bolt throw means the bolt lift, like is it a 30 degree, 60 degree, or 90 degree bolt lift, it just means how high you have to lift the bolt to cycle the action.

Quick change barrels don’t mean anything anymore. Just order prefits. Same concept. Slightly more a pain in the ass but you can swap barrels in your garage with a wrench.

Serious question....aside from the price tag, what makes the Mini Fix any different than, say, a Ruger American in an aftermarket chassis like the one below?

Box fed, bolt action rifle. Chop the barrel, SBR it and I'm hard pressed to see how it is functionally any different than the Mini Fix.

Also, what is the operational desire to have a bolt action AR15? For the life of me, I don't understand it. Am I missing something?
Weight and OAL/packability is the difference for me. I hunt in remote locations and have to pack my animals out. I don’t own a Mini Fix. Just my reason for a bolt action pistol.

I understand that...perhaps I was being a little obtuse. I just don't see what difference a little bit of travel makes. Unless there's an outlier in terms of optics mounting that requires a smaller angle of bolt throw. I suppose one could argue that it's "faster" but at that point, why are we even having the discussion when we've neutered a semi auto rifle into a bolt operation.

But, but, but...high rate of fire necessitates the need for barrel swapping.

Bolt throw is important in PRS for faster action manipulation during high string of fire stages. But the Q sucks for PRS. I saw several guys perform miserably at matches with them.

Doesn’t matter how fast you are if you can’t spot your shots and/or stay on target. In all fairness to Q it’s not really a PRS rifle. I do adventure sniper matches with a lot of rucking so guys got the Q for those matches bc it packs really, really nice and it’s light.

Mr. Booshie Mr. Booshie this is that cut away photo/ post I was talking about. Not sure if it’s altered in any way or fake news. Or the guy that posted it was just trying to slander the Q name. But wild nonetheless if true. View attachment 9242928
Yeah I saw the drama about that as it was happening.
What he doesn’t show is the actual design of the baffles and how it controls flow and back pressure. KB did a whole thing about it, it’s not a trash panda, it’s the SouthPaw.

I own a trash panda and it’s not a great 556 can, you can shoot 556 through it, it’s got a good tone but like any titanium can it will erode and spark. It is however fantastic on a 300blk or 308 gun.

A 6.5 Creedmoor barrel's lifespan, in terms of accurate and usable shooting, typically ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 rounds.
On the extreme ends that is 28 or 56 rounds a week for just a year before the barrel needs to be replaced.
