Restrictions on carry - Body Location... With or without a holster

I wear my 1911 on my hat bill.

Now this I have to see...lol... my friend really used to have a cowboy style hat that had something similar to a belt buckle on the front of it, and it had a little 22 derringer style pistol in it....lol, almost completely pointless since it took soooooo long to get it out of the hat...He used to wear it to High school sometimes, and no one even batted an eye cause they "KNEW" it had to be fake, or part of the buckle...lol

I have always heard that if you cary in the pocket you have to have it in a holster, is this true????

Not anymore.

It's usually better to keep it in a holster anyway, regardless of the law.

Most modern guns have passive safeties instead of manual safeties so keeping the triggerguard covered is a good precaution.

For example:Pocket guns can snag on the edge of the pocket during the draw & can be fired unintentionally if one's finger is inside the triggerguard prematurely.
