Can you give us a little more background? What exactly did you send in? A form 1 or 4? Can or SBR? What did the error letter ask you to do?


After knowing now that is was just an error letter, I'm thinking it may have just been an uninformed assistant examiner.

Sure

I sent in a Form 1 - to make an SBR AR15 rifle (10.5" barrel). I already own the over 16" barrel rifle.

I received the BATFE letter, which apeared to be your basic form letter that said the item (rifle) I was SBRing was not on the Schedule A I had sent in with the Form 1 and copy of my RLT. I don't remember the exact words used but in essence this was it.

Hindsight is 20/20 and I really wish I would have kept a copy and also sent the updated Sched. A with some kind of delivery confirmation / delivery receipt. All I can do now is wait and see what happens.
