Any advice on a riding mower?

Trying to stay around 3k if possible. Give or take a few 100. I have little less than an acre of mostly flat land. I've gotten some ideas from YouTube but would like extra input. Thanks

Home Depot or Lowes..which ever card you have.
Sit on them. Pick one.
So many of the mowers now are so similar, a company called AYP, American yard products makes so many of them all.
$3000 put you in a Lowe’s or Home Depot budget.
And quite honestly, at the bottom of the Home Depot, Lowe’s budget mowers

Edit:
are you paying cash?
Then I would go used.. You can buy a lot of good mowers, even good zero turn mowers on the used market for $3000

Whoever recommends a box store mower is just insane.
I just picked up a 2022 Exmark Radius with 60 hours for $3.5K.
Whatever you get, do yourself a favor and buy it from a local lawn mower dealer where the professionals go.
You’ll be able to get your mower serviced and find parts when you need them—unlike with box store mowers.
I went with Exmark because my local dealer offers strong dealer support.
Whatever you do, don’t buy a box store mower.
Yes, zero turn only.

Neighbor bought a green one at the big box store and the transmission lasted until the warranty expired.
The cost of a replacement transmission was more than he paid for the entire mower.
He junked it and bought a different brand from the big box store.

Folks on a fixed income buy what they can afford, but in many cases this ends up costing more in the long run than if they had bought better quality to begin with.

I have a commercial quality mower from the late 1990 and parts are becoming more difficult to find.
I dread the thought of trying to replace it.
