Riverbend is a great facility. I've done the "hunting rifle" event before, and just last weekend did the 3 x 600 yard match with a $250 deer rifle in .243 Win, with soft point hunting ammo. It's fun, educational, and shooting from 600 yards and later pasting and marking targets from the pits is interesting, having those rifle bullets fly a few feet above your head. You hear the sonic boom long before the muzzle report makes its way down to you.

yeah, basically.

And a small cooler with nonalcoholic drinks, and maybe a snack.

Wear sunscreen!

A folding camp chair can be useful, if you are on the firing line but not shooting, just waiting for your turn to shoot. Ditto for binoculars, to see the 2" spotting markers from hundreds of yards.

It's good to have a mat to lay on, with gritty no-slip pads where your elbows are placed when you shoot from the prone position. But I've done plenty of prone shooting directly on the grass.
