If you looking for something different in a 1911 - Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville has a Ruger Commander Talo edition. It's coated all black with black Ruger medallion G10 grips. I haven't seen one on the shelf anywhere else, and its a beautiful piece.

Most shops frown on folks taking pics of their display guns.

So here's one - Its official name is the Ruger SR1911 Commander Nightwatchman.

The shop owner (can't remember his name) handed it to me, and after I looked at it for a moment he said, like he was a buddy shopping with me, "I think you should get it." Made me laugh.

The only reason I didn't walk out with it is that I really want a new lightweight model.

The Ruger LW is a good looking gun and shoots extremely well.
