I'm a geek, had to have the "smart watch" all the other watches went back to their drawer, Citizens, Movado's, Brietling, Casio's etc.
I won't ever wear anything but this now. Mine is a Samsung, because my phone is, the I-watches are cool too. HUNDREDS of looks you can do from the watch, and/or phone.
Pictures of your kids (my grandkids ) Stock reports, step counter, battery life, TONS of options...
Here are just a few I took just now all within a couple of minutes (but then got busy before I could upload them)
Hundreds of free ones, and you can purchase ($1 a piece normally) that look like Rolex's
Did I mention caller ID, text & emails come to it? Love mine! I bought the 3 year warranty and I'm rough on it so been getting a FREE new one every year
$300 I think

so are my watch faces
HUNDREDS if not thousands of choices, your phone can hold all of them you just move them to your watch 12 or 15 at a time, they give you different "holiday" choices free, but all those faces I can change (maybe 10 more? on my watch in 5 seconds.

i like coins, guns, cars, metals, etc. but ive never thought about watches

i dont wear one (the bands always end up pulling out my arm/wrist hair lol) but have been thinking more and more about getting one or two, if for nothing else as another physical commodity that will hold value (i like being hood rich lol)

so, what should i know. how do they work or which styles there are. value? how to care for them? etc.

I have about 60 NIB in safety deposit boxes you can pick from some day. Prices from $65-$2000 and basically all Swiss Made which is my preference. A lot of Invicta, SWI, Renato, Swiss International, Stuhrling, Phillippe, Nicolett (#1 of 500), Chase Drurer, etc.... I always preferred to have a lot of choices for what I am wearing, what mood I am in and what I am doing to determine how rough I might be on a watch that day. I never could spend more than maybe $2k on a dress watch but I really don't dress up that much so why do I need a $15k Rolex? I have quartz and automatics that wind with body movement.
