school me on watches

i like coins, guns, cars, metals, etc. but ive never thought about watches

i dont wear one (the bands always end up pulling out my arm/wrist hair lol) but have been thinking more and more about getting one or two, if for nothing else as another physical commodity that will hold value (i like being hood rich lol)

so, what should i know. how do they work or which styles there are. value? how to care for them? etc.

for cheaper watches, that are still good quality in my opinion,
check out citizen eco drive, and the seiko watches. seiko even has a mechanical divers thats nicer.

Watches to me are like sunglasses. I don't spend a lot on them because they will get damaged. I only wear one because it's easier to see the time than to pull out my cell phone. Get one without a battery or windup. They have them now that run based on you body movement. I have a seiko kinetic.

I have a citizen eco drive and has lasted 5 years with no problems. Cost $300. I love it
