OMG, you finally took my advice. Price range is a good start, too.i like coins, guns, cars, metals, etc. but ive never thought about watches
i dont wear one (the bands always end up pulling out my arm/wrist hair lol) but have been thinking more and more about getting one or two, if for nothing else as another physical commodity that will hold value (i like being hood rich lol)
so, what should i know. how do they work or which styles there are. value? how to care for them? etc.
I have about 60 NIB in safety deposit boxes you can pick from some day. Prices from $65-$2000 and basically all Swiss Made which is my preference. A lot of Invicta, SWI, Renato, Swiss International, Stuhrling, Phillippe, Nicolett (#1 of 500), Chase Drurer, etc.... I always preferred to have a lot of choices for what I am wearing, what mood I am in and what I am doing to determine how rough I might be on a watch that day. I never could spend more than maybe $2k on a dress watch but I really don't dress up that much so why do I need a $15k Rolex? I have quartz and automatics that wind with body movement.
i was thinking about it anyway but seeing you rattle that shiny metal bastard of yours in front of me all the time certainly doesnt help lmfaoOMG, you finally took my advice. Price range is a good start, too.
Also, prettier doesn't mean better. Some watches are 20k + and have a leather strap....Others with diamonds, rainbow coloring, etc, are less....So, I would find a style you like. Bigger doesn't mean more masculine either, just means you have a small ****. But you also don't want a woman's watch either...Thats my two cents,i like coins, guns, cars, metals, etc. but ive never thought about watches

also, what is this eco-drive?

Dam Son!!!!![]()
that is whats up. so you prefer the swiss style mechanism? what is the difference between japanese and swiss? i know the swiss is generally more expensive and considered to be better made, but thats about where my knowledge ends
is there any difference in how they operate or is it solely reliant on where the parts were produced?Dam Son!!!!
Lol,
The mechanism is defined by a percentage of the internal parts used to make the watch. For example: a swiss watch must have 60% or more Swiss internal parts to be considered "Swiss Made" ....same goes for Japanese movements.
