I think you need BOTH!

O/U for clays and birds. Get a name brand, Benelli, Browning, Beretta. The knockoff's are good too.

Semi for home defense, zombies and all other stuff.

Semi, you cant beat Mossberg 930 tactical. Extended tube holds 8. Cheap and reliable.

Or if you really are manly, you get a Saiga 21gwith a 30 round drum

most quail preserves will not allow an automatic, nor a 12ga....
most folks who actually shoot birds would NEVER use a 12 ga....

clays....most shoot lesser than 12ga.....some shoot .410 bore....not me...I'm not good enough
