I'll start. Me and my buddy doubled up at John's Mountain WMA. The hunt started out slow. Did not hear one turkey gobble on the roost. The two we killed came in with some hens I called in and never gobbled. We moved around all morning and around 10:45 we set up in a bottom I like to hunt. Turkeys usually come through there at some point in the day. We set out decoys and called about every 10 minutes. At 11:20 I called and 2 hens started cuttin and raising heck behind us. I told my buddy to get turned around and when he did he saw the 2 gobblers at 60 yards in full strut. It took them about 10 minutes to get into range. We both shoot 3.5 inch Winchester XR's. He dropped the first one at 50 steps. When he shot I turned around and the other was still in full strut. My shot was true and mine fell 3 feet from his. We were stoked we just got a double at 11:30. Never give up. They were just jakes but we were happy and it was on public land.
