Shortest barrel for Omega and 7.62x39?

Thread hijack. Did you have any luck with commie mags in PTR-32? Magpul AK MOE mags works well, but surplus mags are a bear to pull out. Seems that lock on the PTR does not go back far enough, and magazine lug cannot clear it.

Surplus mags I did not use due to the large gap in tolerances that are allowed with surplus mags . The AK platform is designed to deal with a floppy loosing fitting mag . Roller locks can’t play that game so I don’t bother . All my surplus mags are Yugoslavian which are no go anyway. So I just use the pmag or Bakelite

Don’t bother . Just buy the cheap and easy to get pmag . I bought a bunch just for use with the ptr . They are cheap

Sounds good. Now I need to buy more AKs for my mags. My rule of thumb is 10 mags per rifle. Now I have 10 orphaned Polish mags. Need a rifle to go with them.
