Shot placement in a self defense situation.

In my opinion, you shoot until you fully know the threat has been eliminated and can no longer harm your family. Training takes over in those type of situations but you never know how you will react or what type of issues will arise. My God I pray that I never have to live the experience or that any of you all do either.

Dump your mag into the threat and reload and repeat in needed. I've seen people die from a 22 and survive a 12gauge blast.

Not all bad guys are going to stand up straight in front of you. I'm aiming for whatever body part is easily visible at the moment, chest, head, legs, ass, I don't care. If its a clean case of self defense it really shouldn't matter.

You said it... but some lawyer will twist it no matter where you hit them....
