Perfect example of how shot placement outweighs power. Excellent take there.
The CCO (carrots, celery, onion) is just for the beginning cooking process. I add tarragon and sage later, pull the meat off, then add it to parsnips and potatoes.

He's a great chef. I have watched his shows on PBS every Saturday since he started. I have to modify some recipes for food allergies. Factor that by six to eight people and it cuts out quit a few ingredients.
Nothing wrong with canine tenderized squirrel. LOL. I understand where ya are coming from with the shot placement over speed thing but I just don't like having to lob my shots in if they're at the outside of a comfortable range.
Someone say BBQ squirrel?.....
That's good but I prefer to just deep dry and add some select sides.....

Watching this thread is making me hungry for some tree rat! Think i'm gonna grab the .22 when i get home and go get me some dinner for tomorrow night,might have to try that crockpot recipe with garlic,onions and bbq sauce!
McGraw Ford closes for deer most of DEC and it is loaded with fuzzy tails, gonna do a little scouting and squirrel harvesting..
