I would say no but anything is possible. I have a Model 36-1 that is hard chrome with target sights. The seller swore it was stainless but it isn't. I should have returned it but I like it regardless of what it is.Did smith ever do hard chrome
Unless its really worth it I'm doubtful it will leave just because its different and that trigger is incredibleTold ya that thing is a unicorn lol
I think it looks like chrome, too. Probably not from the factory, but refinished somewhere along the line. The more I look at it, the more that it looks like hard chrome.
Regardless, congratulations on the find!Unless its really worth it I'm doubtful it will leave just because its different and that trigger is incredible

That trigger is something special.Unless its really worth it I'm doubtful it will leave just because its different and that trigger is incredible
Great looking piece!!!Ok guys the guy I got this from asked before but maybe my question is different. So I have a smith and wesson 586-. Heres the questions its stamped 586- that's it's no number after the dash and the gun doesn't seem to ever been refinished but it's not blued. Could the gun be miss stamped and should be a 686? Any thoughts? I dont have the factory box I wish I did
