Maple is really good and burns well too, not too hot but very steady.

Don't get much around here.

Looking for a tree/ firewood place where I can get a few good stacks for a smoker.

Got a cookout coming up on Dec.1.
Need some smoking wood.
Anywhere in the metro would work.
Pecan, peach, or Apple would be a bonus.
Prefer not to pay cash (work expense).
Yeah, work sucks when you have to BBQ for your customers, LOL.

No storm damage up there? I just gave a truck load of cut pecan to a friend at work that came out of my yard. I see piles all up and down the roads down here.

Plenty of good wood laying around now.

BUT, and I hate to say, check Craigslist, there are some purveyors of specifically smoking wood. Prices aren't outrageous.

Bet I'm loading my trailer every day just driving down streets, most of it already cut up and in the ditch.
