So, what trigger do you have in your AR's?

Maybe I've been lucky or the dozen or so AR's I have had is a low number but I've never had a mil-spec trigger 'creep' or feel so 'gritty' that I felt like I had to send it off to someone to have the surfaces messed with.
There are too many low-cost, dependable options on the market.
They are not precision triggers and were never designed for that. If you are shooting from a bench then spend the money and get a trigger group that was designed for that application.

Ok, based on the recommendations and experience, my first trigger upgrade is probably going to be the ALG. I think I will put it in the AR15 and save up for a better one for the AR10 (or not, depending on how the ALG feels).

Thanks!

Thats a good call. Its not expensive, but feels like it should be!

Me either, until I did a build with a PSA parts kit. I know lots of people love them, maybe I just got a bad one, but that thing was so terrible I had to do something else. That prompted my first trigger upgrade.

I've used at least 5, maybe 6, PSA standard LPK's and haven't had a problem. They aren't as smooth as my ALG or the Danel Defense LPK"s or the factory BCM lower I have but those all feel odd after shooting the SSA for a while.

I've used Del-Ton, Stag, CMMG & DPMS. Never really had one that was bad until the last one, which was a PSA. I probably just got a bad one, but it was rough and crunchy and had a snag in it right before it would break.

I've used PSA, DD, cmmg and dpms as well as owning a couple of BCM factory lowers. It's totally hit and miss. Some are nice and crisp with minimal creep, some are awful, gritty, creepy and heavy. It's just the nature of the milspec trigger. The ALG is nice because it's consistent.
