Last year in June (father's day to be exact) a guy pulled out in front me and I totalled my Road Glide. Even though the police report clearly faulted the the other guy, his insurance company denied my claim. Luckily my insurance company covered my bike, but I'm tied up in a law suit for the rest. In the meantime I bought a donor bike and immediately tore it down to build a chopper. I've built the whole thing myself.... every bolt and every nut. The only thing I had someone else do is the welding on the frame (three welds, I did the rest), the powder coating (frame and tins), and I had the fork legs turned down... everything else, I did. I'm almost done. All I have left is the wiring and the brake lines. By the time father's day rolls around this year it'll be on the road, and I'll be back in the saddle!!

And it's "kinda normal" for fatalities as well. Consider keeping the teenage antics on the track. Yes, I realize I'm wasting cyberspace....

We do track as well. Most motorcycle fatalities are not from speeding. They are from car drivers turning left in front of them at intersections... Or cutting them off, etc...

You never broke the speed limit in a car?

I'm WELL aware. Yes, I've broke the speed limit in a car and on bikes. But since growing out of my teens, I've tried to be a little less selfish in the manner in which it occurs. You were running triple digits on a two lane public road with blind curves and multiple private driveways and were so proud of it you posted it. I'm not worried about people who do stuff like that dying. I'm worried about the poor innocent SOB that gets killed by you or has to deal with having killed you, for the treacherous act of pulling out of their own driveway.
