I picked up a 1993 FXR in Hiawassee Georgia. It’s a good bike that needs a bit of work. I can’t wait to get this bike dialed in and rolling down the road.

Yeah, but isn’t that the same for any top race vehicle? To be at the top you will have to modify the crap out of it!

My fast stuff is highly modified in many ways, suspension motor, clutch, electronics, hand controls and releases, rider position, etc and still I’m no where near the “Top”

Right, but a top race vehicle often has little in common with their road going counterparts. Take WSBK... It's a "production bike based" series, but those $150k bikes are NOT what we buy at the dealership... Then you have MotoGP which might look like an R1, but they are $4M prototypes and don't share a single part in common...

I "would" be riding except that rather than put my motorcycle back together two months ago after changing a couple of leaking fuel lines (pretty easy) ...

I got this stupid as$ idea to change the thermostat (because last summer I had some overheating issues). Well, what should've been 90 minutes of additional work for a competent mechanic turned out to be a months -long ordeal for me.

I never want to turn a wrench again.

Every moto project I have is an hour long project turned into a weeks long project by one stripped bolt or missing screw (or lack of tiny hands to get into small spaces).
