2005 FZ1 coming out of Cave Springs a few(many) years back...Saw 180+ on the speedo. Now with about a 5% over speedo, I will guess 170 to 175mph. I just had to know. I have not felt the need to repeat. My 04 FJR is limited to 155.
I currently ride a 97 ST1100 and I'm lusting after one of those generation FJR's right now

fast anymore..
At that speed, the speedo is probably off about 8-10% minimum... more if you made any sprocket changes...
Still crazy fast on two wheels though.
I usually put a SpeedoHealer on the bike and toss it on the Dyno to calibrate it to within 1%, for that reason...
You would be amazed how much a bike's speedo is off from the factory...
I did a -1 front sprocket and +2 on the rear of my current 750, and on the dyno the speedo was off a whopping 23%. LOL
The gearing change itself was only a 13% change, so the other 10% was from the stock speedo error....
It should. I know for me and others that ride motorcycles, their is no better feeling than riding. I would like to think it has kept me from becoming an alcoholic, druggie or from seeing a shrink in all my years of living!!

AMS is hosting the Abate swap meet bike show this weekend....I will be there Sunday, but bringing the truck so I can buy some stuff if I like it...
