Read this article carefully, you may need a pen and paper to diagram who was doing what to whom.

The bottom line is that the NYPD seized the guns of 3 people who had committed no crime, who had not threatened to commit a crime, who had not threatened anyone, who had not made any overt act of irrationality or mental defect (if you disregard the Instagram post) but mostly because the seizure seemed like a good idea.

Interesting. I wonder if those were his personal guns or police issue? I could "kind of" understand if it was police issue guns taken away during the internal affairs investigation, but not if they were personal firearms.

It's not clear, but doubt that there NYCPD issues 4 handguns.

In all fairness, as LEOs, they could have been ordered to turn in all their guns, personal or otherwise. The article is not real clear.

Well, the peasants in NYC can't have guns, so why should the ruling class, anyway? I have no sympathy for him, since he's likely a jack booted thug who wouldn't hesitate to send you to Riker's for carrying a Spyderco pocket knife. Why does a NYC cop have four 9mm pistols when the king's subjects can have none?

This is more how red flag laws would affect us peasants:

And here's a guy who 'gets it':

Stop Resisting! Don't hold it against me, I'm just following orders!
