Thank you for contacting me again regarding gun rights. It is encouraging to see such passion from my constituents over this issue, as I am just as passionate about it. Please know that I am a strong defender of the 2nd Amendment and will do everything in my power to ensure that both the federal and state government do not detract from your right to this liberty. As a firm believer in the 10th Amendment I believe as Madison did that the states are to be the "sure guardians of the people's liberty". In fact, I will be introducing legislation in the coming week to protect weapons manufactured and owned in Georgia from federal regulation and limitation.
Again, thank you for your concern over this issue. I always look forward to hearing from you, so please let me know of any concerns you may have in the future. It is a pleasure to serve you and the state of Georgia.
