Speedometer jacked up

The speedometer on my 2005 Suburban won't accurately measure my speed. Sometimes it rises as I accelerate and then falls even though there's no decrease in speed. Sometimes the needle never moves off of zero and sometimes there's no problem whatsoever. Suggestions & thoughts please.

I had a 2003 silverado that did this. Dealer said the cluster needed replacing. About $600 for parts in 2008

I think in 05 chevy was still using the cables. or it might be electronic. not sure what they used but something is messing up. im not a chevy guy lol.

I traded mine in on a Dodge. No problems since. Lol

Had a Ford until they acted like ***** during the Firestone recall.

My company car is a Ford & I really like it plus Tidwell has done right by me so maybe next time.

That's what I'm afraid of. The temp gauge is f'ed up too.

My company car is a Ford & I really like it plus Tidwell has done right by me so maybe next time.

I had a ranger with the firestone recalled tires at that time. it was a breeze. I just cut out the serial number on the tires, brought to dealer, and had a check in my hand within the week and bought bfg all terrains lol.

oh, the temp gauge aint working either? ya, I agree on the cluster is probably bad then.
