Springfield TRP 10mm issues.....

:boink:

Never had a problem with my Ruger 1911 in 10mm.... Just sayin.

Seriously though, hope they take care of you. these 10mm 1911s are fantastic. Much better than the 10mm Glocks IMHO.

I hope the 6" slide 1911 model works better for you & would be my choice over the 5" I has the same FTF issue with my Dan Wesson Razor Back 10mm 1911 with factory mags until I got past the 300 round break end using 200gr HSM ammo and running wet with Militec. I only use Underwood ammo now 145gr 180gr 200gr no more FTF unless I use Wilson or McCormick Mags. Mag spring problem?. I have custom work done ,barrel crowned trigger replaced set@4lbs breaks like glass replaced sights with adjustable.Sent back to Dan Wesson for duty coating. Now the slide needs to be broke in again. Shoots excellent and accurate Killed deer this past season. I WOULD PREFER 1911S ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Best of luck and I am still saving up for the DW 6" Bruin

If it is a new gun or close to new then it needs a break in period. You will get normal jams and malfunctions during this time. Use all different types of ammo and after a while it will either work itself out or it wont. I had some firearms that took 400+ rounds before it really started to shine

Les Baer himself told me, shoot 500 rounds without cleaning the gun to break it in. If you have any FTF or problems, make sure you don't call me until after the 500 rounds!

It took 1,000 rounds of .308 to break in my MG3 .

No offense but if you can’t afford the ammo for a proper break in then you should have bought a more economically friendly pistol. Almost all high quality mechanical devices require a break in period .

Sounds like an extractor tuning issue. Too tight.

Not letting the round slip under the hook. One of the last things that happens as a round is being chambered.

Their "repair" sounds like they adjusted it to be even tighter, based on the description of the rounds going vertical - can't get under the extractor hook at all anymore.
