Stupid things you have seen or heard at gun shows!

I heard a guy Sat (while standing next to his lady) tell a vendor he wanted to look at the Sig 638 .380. for her. I was thinking, at least know what you are looking at. Hell it's stamped on the side of the gun.

it wasn't at a gun show, but today we were talking suppressed 22s at the shop.
one of the guys chimed in that a suppressed 22lr rifle wont shoot 100 yards with any accuracy.
"I could stand there and let you shoot at me with a suppressed 22 at 100 yards and you couldn't hit me."

Hahaha! I actually wear woodland camo pants daily. They're comfortable and I like the cargo pockets.
The Army just called from 1983, they want their BDUs back....
I was at a gun show in PA right before I moved back to GA & was looking at a Colt 6920 when a random dude walked up and proceeds to warn me that only the military & law enforcement can legally possess them and he thinks the vendor is undercover ATF and it's a sting operation.
I said thanks for the tip and walked away from that wacko ....they were priced too high anyway.

Academy Sports in Athens a couple years ago.....

Guy walks up to the gun counter and tells employee that he knows nothing about guns, but wants something for home defense. The employee shows him a Mossberg 500 and tells him a shotgun is a great option. The employee seems to be giving good advice so far, then he tells the guy this......

"The best thing about a pump shotgun is that you'll never have to actually shoot an intruder with it." The employee racks the action a couple times and says "You hear that sound? As soon as a bad guy hears that, he's gonna turn around and run away."

I left after hearing that pearl of wisdom. I don't know if the guy bought the shotgun. If he did, I wonder if he bought any ammo with it or if he's just gonna depend on the racking sound to chase the bad guys away.

I will admit that the sound of a pump shotgun when racking a round in the chamber is a very distinct sound, lol.

Yeah, it has some pucker factor for sure, but I don't want to depend on it to scare away a crackhead burgler. LOL
I guess that's better than seeing everyone walking around in those chocolate chip desert cammies after the first Gulf War.
I actually had some of those back in the day. LOL I've thought about getting some Multicam, but I don't want everybody in Danielsville to think I'm some kinda uppity rich snob. Bahahaha!

Crap, next you'll tell me you've got a set of vintage Nam Era Tiger Stripes in the closet....
