This has been a post before but I was unable to find it. I’ve got a couple of sub2k’s. What are some mods that do not interfere with the folding operation? 2 that I have specific interest in are below but open to any experienced advise. TIA
Optic mount?
Buffer tube cover?
Etc

First thing I ordered was a buffer tube cover for mine. That was a good investment, in my opinion. Then I discovered a website called MCarbo. I ended up with a trigger kit and a metal feed ramp from them. They have a lot more, but I really viewed the metal feed ramp as the biggest upgrade over the plastic factory one.

I'm lazy. I just bought a medium red dot QD riser for mine after shooting it Sunday and the sights really sucking. I'll just keep it in the bag with the gun. Not willing to dump any more money into it.

The midwest industries rotating mount is pretty cool but having to mess with the loop to keep the charging handle back looks too goofy to me and not willing to spend the jack.

But it is a fun gun to shoot. I put a cushion on the stock and that is the extent of the mods I've done so far.

Once you have the gun apart, the ramp is just kind of pressed on to the tube. Just pop it off and the replacement goes right on.

Imma gonna get a riser just a tad shorter.

Get a better charging handle. The one that come with it is cast and can snap in half. They make a stainless steel one that comes in two lengths. While you're at it, get a charging handle rubber cover too from Tacticool products.
