SVT-40 in Canton

It does have the rails on the sides but not the notch on top of the receiver to lock the scope mount in place.

(almost all of them came with the side rails milled into the receiver until 1942. Only the actual snipers received the top notch)...

No, its not that bad. Just wont stay super tight and accurate because of the recoil. That third notch captures a spring loaded pin to keep it tight

That SVT was sold a while ago.... Nice though....the AVT stock is a plus.

Just left cherokee gun...they have a 1940 svt-40 with matching numbers, plumb bolt, in a numbers matched avt stock, for 1100 and change. Still had cosmoline under the bolt....maybe unfired since refirb. Cleaning rod was still there too.......

Nice, luckily I already scratched that itch and snagged one off here for $1,000! It was a sniper version too! They are great rifles and rare. They go on Gun Broker for $1,200 and up!
