The Civil War

One might say that the "Civil War" did nothing but set the stage for "Civil War 2", since nothing but slavery was fixed. I am of the thought that while African slaves were rightfully freed (at least on paper) that everbody became a slave to the Feds.

Could it be that the war was really fought/started over the same things wars always seem to be started over?
Money,power,greed,and taxes?

You nailed it...the north had the manufacturing facilities and imposed super high tariffs on cotton from the south..Cotton was the chief southern marketable product.
The slavery aspect was only brought into the issue to gain sympathy for the north's position.

Oh, Salisbury Steak also came out of the war

and last, but not least, is the joke....
