The ultimate hot dog guide. How do you like your hotdogs?

Damn the ketchup on hotdogs hate is as real as beans in chili.

I’m in the no-beans camp.

Growing up poor as f eating mayo sandwiches w pepper… ketchup on a dog is more of a comfort food since that was all that was in the fridge.

And we couldn’t afford all beef hotdogs.

It was chicken peckers and hog a holes for me at my moms house.

Quick story: my mom bought me the “ virtual boy” gaming system for x-mas.

She then told me that she had no money for the water/gas/power bill.

The gaming system was returned so she could pay the bills that month.

That’s the way life goes sometimes. I was happy to have the system for a couple days.

No “ regrats”.

Bless you. One thing about it, you can appreciate where you are because of where you've been. Personally, I think it's a good way to grow up. It teaches one to be thankful

When my folks were alive, they retired and moved to south GA ( Thomasville area) and there was a pool room down there that was known for their hot dogs. They were damned good too.
They got so popular , people would come from miles around to get them. It got to where the little old ladies didn’t want to go into the pool room but wanted the hot dogs, so they put in a walk up window just to serve the hot dogs to those who didn’t wanna go inside ! lol.
I’m not sure what they did to them but they were real damned good !! Made em in a crock pot is all I know ! The chili was fantastic !!
It got to where they made more off the hot dogs than the beer they sold inside !! lol. They had about 5 people in there at one time cooking and serving just hot dogs and chili.
I miss that place !

Doodlebug Edwards had a poolroom in Elberton that had some of the best hotdogs I ever ate. Used to go there with my father growing up in the 60s and I would go down there and eat up until the 90s. They put hotdog on plate and ladled Chili and beans over it. You had to eat it with a fork!
