After the finest stone, I get the polished edge by stropping the blade on my jeans. It take two minutes at the most. Trying polish it out with the stones does take too long.

After the finest stone, I get the polished edge by stropping the blade on my jeans. It take two minutes at the most. Trying polish it out with the stones does take too long.
Has anyone tried the glass platens with lapping films?
Haven't tried them yet, but saw one youtube video where you take 2000/2500/3000/3500 grit wet sand paper tape it on the ends to the WE stones and use those to further remove scratches and polish the blade.
The lapping films look interesting but I'm taking a break on buying sharpening #@$% I'm good for now.
