Trappers in Georgia

Tonight's catch . . . .

I primarily target coyotes, bobcat, fox and beaver. Rarely go after coon. Ive been so busy lately I haven’t gotten to put anymore sets out. I always wanted to have a blanket made from the beaver pelts Ive trapped but the price and being busy has kept me from it. Maybe one day. .22 is by far the cheapest trapline gun to tote around but I personally have grown fond of my .17hmr. for yotes. For bobcats I use my choke stick to dispatch them. It doesn’t take long.

I caught one more beaver last weekend. That's two skinned and fleshed, ready for the boards. I figure each one caught is worth four two years from now (no kits in their future). I also got tired of lugging a rifle that I'll rarely need with body grip traps, so I bought a Beretta 21A Bobcat that I can slip into a pocket holster. What a huge daily improvement!

I had one coon today. One empty trap with sardines removed and eaten , one pull out of a leg hold.

Still not in love with the offset jaw Duke traps.

Chinese crap I think.

i did but a couple of MB 550 have not boiled , dyed and waxed them.
