Traveling north, leave the gun home?

I have only been carrying since the beginning of the year is struck me as odd how defenseless you start feeling when it seems you have no ability to protect yourself.
13yrs martial arts training, I never feel defenseless. and to anyone that would ask what you going to do when someone goes for a gun, well that's why I carry.

Number one always follow the law that is what we on here do as best we can, When you need a weapon if its in the trunk it wont help anyway, most gun battles last 3-7 seconds and in side 7 feet , just think how many years you didn't carry, don't look for a reason to carry but chose for a reason not to . This comes from years of being in that place you are right now my friend, if we want to change the perception of carry laws bad behavior will not help. Every car has a tire iron

Never, ever, ever, take a gun in to NJ. Don't take ammo either. As a word of caution, if you are driving around with any hp ammo, or even bullets you are guilty of a felony..yep, a felony that carries a $10,000 fine and 1.5 years in federal prison.

I have personal experience with this one. PM me if you have any more questions, happy to help.

Taking a firearm into NJ/NY/CT/MA is stupid and reckless.

If you point is to protect your family, then LEAVE IT HOME. Getting caught with it, and spending years in jail, being a felon and being fined thousands of dollars doesnt help your family.

kinda what i thought i would hear just wanted to get a few extra opinions. Guns will stay home and i think i have the couple of HP bullets out of the car as well. So glad my parents and i do not live in that state anymore.
