I worked for Sylvania for 12 years, fresh out of high school. They got bought and sold a few times. They eventually sold our building where the 5th runway at Hartsfield now sits, and moved to Kentucky.
I've been at my current employer for 14 years. I won't say the name of the company, they are particular about being mentioned on the web, so I respect their wishes.
In both places, I performed general warehouse duties. Nothing glamorous, but I enjoy working and feeling a part of something. However, our management team is very young, and long term, older folks are kinda viewed as an expense. Vacation time, salary, etc. The game has changed, and I'm not too sure I want to play anymore.
