Yeah, I might lose some of the meat, but that's better than losing the whole deer.

Just depends on how long it takes him to die. If he made it till 5-6 this morning before expiring the meat still may be good!

My buddy killed one opening day and we couldn't get it to the processor until 16 hours later. I put it in a refrigerator that we use for hanging deer. Unbeknownst to me the fridge had died out. Opened the door in the morning and it felt like a warm summer day hitting me in the face. Took it to the processor and hoped for the best. The meat was absolutely fine. With the rain and the temps the way they were, I think it should be fine.
