using handgun in ohio without permit

i am taking a week vacation to ohio to see my niece on her b-day and hang out with some family.
i will be taking my 45 acp handgun with me and would like to know when i can legally use it.

Ohio no longer accepts Arizona carry permit thus i will not be carrying the handgun.

lets say someone with a gun were to breaks into the house i am staying at up there and i use my handgun in self defense whether in the backyard/front yard of the house or inside the house. will i be legal in my action ifi use it in such a defense scenario?

I would hope so. Too many individual state laws to name them off the top. Did you google this?

This is what i tell everyone that asks this stupid question. You will know when you should use it. No outrageous make believe story here. its really that simple. questions like this just seem like you want to shoot someone or have some anger problem. it doesn't look good
