Value of a 2001 Yamaha big bear ATV 4 wheeler - need advice

I was offered in a trade a 2001 yamaha big bear ATV(unsure of the model). I was wondering, what should I look out for and what’s this thing worth? I have no clue about this market. I was also offered a Winchester 70 with the Yamaha.

I really don’t know anything about the Atv market.

2-3K seems really high for a 24-25 year old 4 wheeler... I think $1200-$1500

I haven’t seen any for sale for that cheap unless they were ragged out pretty bad but you may be right.

Anything I should look out for as far as maintenance issues go? Or general wear and tear

What size? Auto, damage, it’s missing the rubber and plastic flares, does it have breaks? Does it idle?

Last bear I picked up for 900, put 600 into it and sold it for 14

300 rum sendero II, no scope. He offered the atv and a Winchester 70 stainless 300 wsm rifle in exchange.
Figure I might be able to move the Atv and lower priced 70 faster and easier than the rum that I have for 1500.
