Such a waste, I'm sure he had other options, like steak knifes, chairs, bare hands, available to him why did he not use them? He could have been disarmed with out killing him. Probably just a disgruntled customer who was misunderstood.

That's what the customer did. One of the articles, not sure if it's one of the linked ones, said that the customer didn't confront them untill they started forcing everyone to get on the ground and forcing the employees into the back.

Well i am just going by the links. By those stories he drew on them to hold them until the police arrived. Thats when the robber drew on him.
