What are you guys using on the armadillos?

They are creatures of habit, follow same trail/path. If you don't get out at night looking for them, then find their game trail or favorite place to dig, set a large live trap (entry at both ends works best) along the path and place old weathered boards or logs at each end to sort of funnel into the trap opening. My 2 acres is fenced, but occasionally I find an armadillo dig, I check my fence perimeter and find where they came thru or dug under. I place a trap in line with the trail next to the fence. Bait is not necessary, or camouflaging the trap, maybe scattering of leaves/pine straw to cover trap or human scent. Once caught, blast it in the trap, then dispose of out in the woods well away from home to avoid bad smell. It won't last long, fresh blood smell draws wild scavenging critters. You'll catch possums too, but patience will win out.
